At Timely we are constantly in different iterations to bring the very best of Short audio drop-in chat without invites, Everyone is welcome. We pride ourselves in building for the unrepresented users and that is you, the Android phone users.

We believe that products should be designed with the user informed views. Thus, we are open to your suggestions and feedbacks. So, let us know what features you would like to build for the community.

We designed Timely to be a space for real conversation and expression of self, people, and brands. A place where everyone can have fun, learn, and make meaningful connections, and be able to share insightful thoughts, visions, and experiences with others around the world. We encourage you to understand that in a democratic society a few guiding principles that we believe are important, could help you build your audience, and followers. Ultimately leading to trust and confidence in your personal or corporate brand.

User roles

The conversations with your followers on Timely take place in rooms. Within each room, that you create, you are the room owner. Other members who join your room are listener only. However, they can unmute themselves to have their voice heard. You room is yours and you cannot give the keys to anyone else. This is to ensure that room owners are accountable and responsible for how their room is moderated.

Below are some of the best practices that you can use to ensure a smooth running of your Timely room.

Room Owner

Part of your sign-up process, you will be guided to create a default room. This room is your public Timely space, and anyone can join this room when you are active in the room. As you are the room owner, you have control of how conversation is managed, as everyone who joins you including special guest are all listeners. This ensures that other listeners do not feel different. We believe a room owner should give everyone who wishes to contribute the opportunity to speak, that is if they choose to contribute. This approach foster inclusion amongst your followers.

Inclusion is what we are all about, not exclusivity.

To have a successful moderation of your Timely room, we encourage you to follow the 3 steps of

  • Have a topic and agenda
  • Active listening so you can get to understand your audience
  • Acknowledge new members as they join your room so they can catch up


Everyone can be a speaker, provided the Room owners calls you to speak.


Finding a room is easy on Timely, and when you do find one, just tap to join in an existing conversation, you enter in the audience on mute. This means you are a listener, to talk, you can unmute yourself. But understand and be respectful to the room owner

Our Rules

Whenever you use Timely, you are agreeing to always comply with our rules. You also agree not to encourage others to violate these rules. As you make be removed from the service for violation of terms. Although, you can appeal against such removal.

Trust and Confidence is what we are built upon

  • You must use a real name and identity on the service.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age to use Timely (or older if required by your country).
  • You must not engage in abuse, bullying, or harassment of any person or groups of people.
  • You must not discriminate against, engage in hateful conduct directed at, or threaten violence or harm against any person or groups of people.
  • You must not share, threaten to share, or incentivise the sharing of other people's private information without their prior permission.
  • You must not transcribe, record, or otherwise reproduce and/or share information obtained in Timely without prior permission.
  • You must not engage in any conversations or upload any content that violates any intellectual property or other proprietary rights.
  • You must not spread false information or spam, or artificially amplify or suppress information.
  • You must not share or promote information (or synthetic or manipulated media) that is intended or likely to cause harm to any person or groups of people, including minors.

Timely reserves the rights the right to the interpretations of these rules.

Legal note

Finally, please keep in mind that this is a quick legal note on our Guidelines, violations, and how we may enforce them:

  • You are solely responsible for your interactions with other Timely users and you agree that we will have no liability or responsibility with respect to those interactions.
  • We understand that not all Timely users will share our views as to what constitutes a violation of these Guidelines. However, to operate a functional platform, we must reserve the right to determine in our sole discretion what constitutes a violation, although appeal is allowed and we this will be treated on case-by-case basis.
  • Our failure to enforce these Guidelines in each instance in which it might have application does not amount to a waiver of our rights under our Terms and Conditions or these Guidelines.
  • We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to change portions of these Guidelines at any time. If we do this, we will post the changes on this page and will indicate at the top of this page the date these terms were last updated.
